Guest Post: Notes from the Sasquatch on the Couch
Hello blog followers of Fierce Beagle. This is the first and most likely last post I will probably ever produce (because I’m not as talented as Erin). If you are wondering who I am I’ll give you a couple of hints: Handsome, funny, and a touch of bad assness to him. If your guess was Brad Pitt you are dreaming. The correct answer is Kyle.
I am Erin’s brother, or I guess to you Internet people, I am Fierce Beagle’s brother. She asked me to write a guest post on her blog. So here I am sitting in the living room while little Mrs. Martha Stewart cleans the house like someone will actually be impressed. [Editor’s Note: He’s a college-age guy. Which means he’s used to living in squalor.]
Anyways, I am here to tell all of you bloggers what it is like to spend the holidays with oh so popular Fierce Beagle. It’s actually quite simple to explain in about two words, Insane Asylum. First off my parents are living with my sister for the time being until they find a house. It’s like a pack of wolves living in a small cave that Frodo Baggins could only fit in. It’s that cramped.
Then, there is usually a lot of “that’s what she said” jokes and bickering going on. I’ll tell you one thing you don’t know about the Fierce Beagle. She never wants to get up off the couch. She waits for the opportune moment for someone to stand up and then asks you to get something for her. The only response you can say is “yes your highness.” [Editor’s Note: The only thing I can be accused of is efficiency. If someone else is up, why waste energy and precious maneuvering space by getting up myself?]
At nighttime we are watching as many movies as humanly possible. It’s fun to be around my family because they are just as funny and weird as I am. They get the jokes I tell and have the same sense of humor as I do. Spending the holidays with the Fierce Beagle & company is just as normal as everyone else probably. Nothing too big or too small but something just right. That’s what she said.
